MORELLO HOUSING COMPETITION

Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon

Back in 2017, Morello Housing (Redrow) contacted Croydon School of Art and proposed a design brief for any student to participate. The design brief was very open, but the one rule they requested was to capture the history of Cherry Orchard Road.

After several students submitted their designs - Morello got back in contact and requested 2 designs to be transformed into one. Months later myself and another student were announced as the winners of the Morello Gate Competition.

All students were anonymous and our names were only revealed once we attended the opening ceremony!

The gates were revealed to the public in October 2017!
